Alumni Advisor

Role description:
As an alumni advisor to the board, you bring in your professional experience, best practices and attitude within the board.

The responsibilities of the Alumni advisor includes:

To make sure that the board is aligned to the values and goals of ISA Delft during the term.

To arrange necessary internal and external sessions and workshops for the board members to enable them to grow in their roles.

To provide the board with ideas and toolkits to optimise their everyday work.

To become the point of contact between the alumni community and ISA Delft through LinkedIn / TU Delft for Life.

Cultural Events Manager

Role description:
This role is responsible for organising events that stem off from the culture and festivals of India. Responsibilities of the role include:

You are responsible for ideation as well as execution of the event.

You need to be in constant contact with the Program Manager and the President for the purpose of event planning.

Creation of calendar along with the professional events manager as well as the program manager.​
They should keep up to date with the current trends and organize events that resonate with the students residing in Delft.

External Affairs Manager

Role description:
You represent ISA at the external front. The main responsibilities include communicating the values of ISA to the external stakeholders, like sponsors, TU Delft, other student associations and numerous organizations. The major responsibility involves convincing the sponsors for collaborations and asking for financial support. At times, you will be on the spot, and need to make difficult decisions regarding sponsorships.
During the events, it is important to make sure that the sponsors respond on time, and make sure that the collaboration and support is beneficial for both ISA and the sponsor.
Necessary general skills: communication, decision-making, negotiation.
Internal Affairs Manager

Role description:
‘Internal affairs manager’ is responsible for the day to day functioning of the board, along with keeping harmony with the group. Additionally, this role functions as the right of the president in helping them with different tasks. Within the first few months of the board’s tenure, internal affairs manager is responsible for setting up regular board meetings according the the preferences of all the board members, generating registration forms for events and handling the transition of the old board members with respect to Kvk registrations. This role also performs as the treasurer, maintaining the ISA’s bank account and other financials. This role requires the personnel to keep up with deadlines in regards to registrations and financial requirements.

Marketing Manager

Role description:
You will be the point of contact for ISA with other associations which are a part of TU Delft. Thus you will be in-charge of coordinating with the cultural and study associations on possible collaborations. You will be the spokesperson for ISA in meetings that occur monthly with InterDelft and BASE meetings.

Professional Events Manager

Role description:
Create professional events from ISA Delft aim to facilitate an easy transition for students into the Dutch job market through skill-building and career-development events. At the same time, you maintain the ever-growing network of TU Delft alumni with current students and the University. You recognize the students’ requirements and curate events accordingly while answering to the Program Manager and President.

President

Role description:
The President is the board's "leader," but they is not "the Board." They has certain tasks, but must use extreme caution not to overstep their authority by making decisions for the Board. ISA, Delft operates in an organic manner. As President, you are the face of the organisation as you are the first point of contact for stakeholders from TU Delft, and the Embassy of India. Throughout the first several months, the ultimate aim of the board must be explicitly defined and changed several times with the entire board’s participation. As the president is responsible for ensuring that the board functions correctly, they should be aware of who is doing what and remain up to speed on all board activity by communicating especially with the Program Manager on a regular basis. They should be able to provide board leadership and assist in the formation of a successful board that works effectively and thrives in engaging the community while also being pleasurable to be a part of.
Necessary general skills: Ability to work under pressure, cognitive flexibility, stakeholder management, Performance management based on feedback (From Internal & External sources) and assertiveness.
