Cultural Aspect of ISA

Being far away from home is never easy and it gets especially hard on those festive days. The memories of warmth of being with our families on festivals leaves us with a pang of emptiness here.

We as ISA aim to bridge the geographical distance between the Netherlands and India by the exuberance of the myriad events that we conduct throughout the year. Our events aim to not only bring the Indian community together but also involve all students & educate them about Indian culture while creating beautiful experiences and memories.

ISA Delft hosted a Secret Santa event to bring joy amongst the student community during Christmas amidst the troubling times of Covid-19. The event saw participation from 29 students, Indian and international both. Keeping in mind the Covid regulations, we facilitated for the participants to exchange gifts as well as socialize in the student community.

ISA Delft collaborated with the Delft Improv group to introduce the art of improvisation to the student community. The online meeting was filled with laughter as hilarity ensued from the games played. These games not only taught the basics of improv but also provided merriment for the evening.

We celebrated the festival of colours by testing the participants’ knowledge of Delft as they biked around painting the town red, solving clues. This first offline event of the year saw amalgamation of Indian as well as students from other nationalities as they competed to win the treasure hunt. The event came to a close on a delectable note of biryani and gulab jamun as the famished participants mingled and recollected their adventures through Delft.
